Personal values

Context:
Students had previously discussed personal values. In this activity, students examined personal likes and dislikes and explored what they valued and what influenced their values.

Outcomes:
GDS2.9 Describes life changes and associated feelings:

• demonstrates sensitivity to the values of others.
• recognises own values.

IRS2.11 Describes how relationships with a range of people enhance well being:

• recognises that families have both common and different customs, behaviours, values

COS2.1 Uses a variety of ways to communicate with and within groups:

• shares ideas and feelings with others about family rules and values

Assessment strategy:

The teacher:
describes how pictures, symbols or objects are representative of student values and groups.

provides a clear explanation of significant values.

Assessment criteria:

The student:

• analyses student’s mobiles
• observes student presentations.
